During the delivery process, riders on e-commerce platforms sometimes park their electric bicycles randomly on the roadside, which not only hinders the normal passage of others, but also adversely affects the overall appearance of urban civilization.
Recently, the Commerce Commission of the New Area has issued a work reminder to urge e-commerce platform riders to abide by the law and deliver goods in a civilized manner.
Once the work tips are released, they receive a rapid response from relevant enterprises.
According to the introduction of the relevant person in charge of the Commerce Commission of the New Area, after learning about the problem of disorderly parking by riders on e-commerce platforms reported by some streets and towns, they immediately took action and contacted all e-commerce platforms in Pudong to inform them of standardized parking requirements.
On March 12, they issued a “Work Tips on Strengthening the Law abiding and Civilized Delivery Work of Frontline Riders on E-commerce Platforms.”.
The reporter learned that in response to the problem of disorderly parking, this reminder requires riders to park their electric bicycles in a prescribed area when picking up and delivering goods.
The work reminder also extends to other traffic violations such as running red lights, not wearing helmets, and driving in reverse, prompting enterprises to further conduct self inspection and self correction, and strengthen management.
At the same time, the Commerce Commission of the New Area also reminds enterprises to actively fulfill their main responsibility for traffic safety publicity and education, train all riders on traffic safety knowledge and safety regulations for the use of electric bicycles, improve internal management systems, implement relevant requirements for traffic safety management, and encourage riders to actively commit to law-abiding riding and civilized distribution.
Upon receiving a work reminder, nearly 10 e-commerce platforms, including Dingdong Shopping, Hema Fresh, Meituan, Flash Delivery, and Dada, immediately took action and responded.
Kang Chenbo, Director of the Government Affairs Department of Dingdong Cuisine Purchase, said, “After receiving the work tips, we will immediately forward them to the frontline management personnel, and hold an internal management meeting to convey the spirit of the tips, urge riders to comply with traffic regulations, and deliver them in a civilized manner.” On the evening of March 12, Dingdong Cuisine Purchase held a training meeting overnight, and based on the courseware provided by the traffic police department and the New District Civilization Office, we will conduct training for the leaders of frontline locations.
This week, at the morning meeting every day, the person in charge of the front line will emphasize the requirements for law-abiding riding and civilized delivery to the riders, check the safety of the vehicles, whether the riders wear helmets in place, and implement the work tips.
The relevant person in charge of the Commerce Commission of the New Area stated that Pudong is creating a national civilized model urban area, and hopes that every rider can better integrate into the creation environment, achieve law-abiding riding and civilized delivery.
