Zilaiqiao Town was the location of the Anti Japanese Democratic Government of Jiashan County and also the location of the Jiashan County Government after the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
Later, the Jiashan County Government moved to Mingguang, and Jiashan County was renamed Mingguang City.
