Border Smooth Journey with Painted Chicken Head – Prelude to Cycling National Highway 331: From Huludao to Jinzhou
This year’s summer cycling plan includes several alternative routes: the Yunnan Tibet Highway with the Dulong River to Tibet, the continuation of the 219 National Highway from Altay to the West Pole, the 109 National Highway from Beijing to Tibet, and the Shanxi Tourist Highway from Pianguan to the source of the Yellow River.

After experiencing the terror of large vehicles along the route during the Dragon Boat Festival, I decisively gave up on the 109 National Highway.
Later, I posted several other options on my WeChat Moments to invite fellow riders.
I am delighted that my Guangdong cycling friend Yushan responded by riding the 331 National Highway in early July.
That’s how it was decided; She invited May Xian, a cycling enthusiast from Baoding, and that’s how the small team became.
But I couldn’t leave on time due to some reasons, so they moved forward and I had to catch up by train.
