The truth of cycling: Riding fast is not powerful, riding long is the real skill

Many novice cyclists have a common problem: they immediately want to speed up and compete for distance as soon as they get on the bike.

I followed the wind and rode wildly, my heart rate pounding, gritting my teeth and persevering, thinking that the faster I rode and the more miles I traveled, the faster I would progress.

The result is: after riding, the whole body aches, the legs become soft and weak, occasionally the knees ache, the heart and lungs feel suffocated, and after resting for two or three days, it cannot recover.
