Today’s article 26: A monument should be erected at the starting point of the Yunyan River! Yunyan River is Tongzhou’s mother river.

Where is its starting point? If a reporter makes an interview on Jinsha Street, perhaps nine out of ten will not answer correctly.

On the morning of October 9, 2022, I asked my old friend to ride the western section of the Yunyan River to explore its starting point and solve the doubts of many people, including me.

After crossing the Longxi Bridge in the north section of Hope Road, the next bridge will turn to the north bank of Yunyan River and ride to the northwest.

In the words of an old friend, “Laugh all the way and enjoy the scenery all the way”.

About an hour later, we arrived at the junction of Yunyan River and Tuanjie River.

Ask passers-by, and we know that a gate built on the Yunyan River is the starting point of the river (see the above figure).

I searched hard nearby to find a sign or text (tablet) that can prove to be the starting point of the Yunyan River, but was disappointed.

It turned out that a monument was missing near the starting point of the Yunyan River! Or maybe a few words were carved on the gate.

Pedestrians can see the text of the starting and ending points of the Yunyan River from the billboard on the riverside under the Tingli Bridge (see the above figure), but it is a long way from the starting point of the Yunyan River, and it is not easy to get off the bus and go down the river slope.

I thought that a monument should be erected at the starting point of the Yunyan River! On the one hand, people from all over the country can be informed that the Salt River starts from here; Second, it may become one of the clocking places for citizens to travel nearby, and it can also be used for mobile navigation.

At the turning of the road at the starting point of Yunyan River, I was surprised to find that there was a road with the same name as Jinsha: Yunyan River Road.

The following are three bridges on the upper reaches of the Yunyan River: the Third Yunyan River Bridge, the Bazong South Road Bridge, and the Tingli Bridge.
