Baodao cycling in the year of slow travel (6)

April 21: kaohsiung tainan today’s main tourist destination is the little Ryukyu Island.

Let the hotel help to call a car to the dock and buy a ticket to board.

Xiaoryukyu is located in the Taiwan Strait southwest of Pingtung County, the main island of Taiwan.

It is the only coral reef island in Taiwan.

When I arrived at xiaoryukyu, it was raining, but I decided to rent a small motorcycle to go to the island.

I haven’t ridden this thing for more than ten years, but my riding skills are good.

Miss dare not ride, so I took her.

We also bought a disposable raincoat at the wharf and put it on, starting our small motorcycle tour around the island.

It is said that it is around the island.

It takes more than 20 minutes to drive around the island.

There are few people on the island.

It is very refreshing to drive along the road by the sea in the light rain.

One lap was not enjoyable, so he opened another half lap.

After playing enough, take a boat back, call a car back to the hotel, pack up and leave, train Tainan, and get on the train at half price.

Arrive at Tainan, my favorite city on Taiwan Island, find a hotel to stay in, and have nothing to say for a night.

I’m going to Tainan tomorrow.

On April 22, the Anping tree house in Tainan actually has a lot to see besides the tree house.

There are few pedestrians on the road and it is very quiet.

Zhu jiuying’s former residence bought a souvenir here — Langhao pen.

Zhu jiuying (1898-1996) was called Jiugong, and the hall name was broom room.

The father of Zhu Shangtong.

Born in Jinjing, Changsha, Hunan Province, he is a modern Taiwan scholar and calligrapher.

He was the Secretary of Tan Yankai, the first chairman of the national government, the Secretary of the Wuchang camp of Chiang Kai Shek and the chief of the first section, and the director of the Fujian Provincial Construction Department of the national government.

He went to Taiwan in 1949.

Left my “water” treasure.

Wandering in Anping tree house.

Anping port in Tainan was once the largest port in Taiwan and the starting point of Taiwan’s history and culture.

The old warehouse behind the “Deji foreign company” is also known as the “Anping tree house”.

The banyan tree has been entrenched and attached for a hundred years, forming a special scene of “there are walls in the trees and trees in the walls”.

I met local middle school students visiting here and heard the teacher explaining the formation of the tree house.

Anping ancient castle Anping ancient castle has the names of “orange”, “Zeelandia”, “Anping City”, “Taiwan city”, “Wang City” and “Chigu city”.

Built in 1624, it is the oldest castle in Taiwan.

Since its founding, it has been the center of Dutch rule in Taiwan and the residence of the Zheng Dynasty.

The buildings and houses of the ancient castle are pure red bricks and tiles.

In 1953, “Anping sunset” was awarded one of the eight scenic spots in Taiwan by the Taiwan provincial government.

In April 1661 (the 15th year of the reign of emperor Yongli of the Ming Dynasty), Zheng Chenggong expelled the Dutch from Taiwan and changed the city of zelanzha to “Taiwan city”; in May, he changed Taiwan to “Anping town”, so it was also known as “Anping City”; in December, Zheng Chenggong recovered Taiwan and settled here, so it was also known as “Wang City”.

In 1683 (the 22nd year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty), Taiwan entered the territory of the Qing Dynasty, and the castle was used as the town office of the Navy Association.

In 1840 (the 20th year of Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty), the Sino British Opium War broke out, In order to resist the British army, Yao Ying of the Taiwan Army prepared to set up coastal defense, and changed the Taiwan city into a military uniform Bureau.

In addition to building the original wall and battery, it was used as a warehouse for storing military supplies and ammunition.

In 1869 (the 8th year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty), the British warship shelled Anping, and most of the castle was destroyed.

In 1875 (the first year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty), the Qing army destroyed the city of re LAN Zha and used its bricks to build the erkunyu Fort (Yizai Jincheng).

The residents also used the city walls to build houses.

During the Japanese occupation period, the Japanese leveled the ruins of the castle and converted it into a new-style foreign Museum, which was used as the dormitory of the customs officer, which is now the “Anping ancient castle”.

The wall structure of the remnant of Taiwan city is made of sugar water, glutinous rice juice, oyster shell ash, sand and other stacked bricks, and is called “Sanhe soil”.

In the original inner and outer city, there were four corners built with fortresses and cannons.

After more than 300 years of changes in time and space, there is only one wall of the outer city, one ancient well, a semicircular fortress base and some remnants.

Among them, the remnants of the original outer city wall with a length of 65.8 meters are the largest.

In addition, the remains of “iron scissors” can still be seen on the city wall, which was set up to stabilize the beam wall and prevent separation; The square holes on the wall are the remains of the barracks of the navy in the Qing Dynasty.

In the ancient castle, there is a remnant wall of red brick, which is the only remains of the ancient city more than 300 years ago.

The branches of the ancient banyan trees on the base of the city are winding, and they seem particularly vigorous and ancient.

On the open space in front of the fort, there is a stone tablet with four characters “Anping ancient castle”.

At the foot of the castle, a bronze statue of Zheng Chenggong was erected.

I also saw students visiting here, especially primary school students.

After the tour in this area, go to lunch, and you can see temples and archways everywhere in Taiwan.

There are special places for bicycles on buses in Taiwan.

Let’s stop today and continue tomorrow.

I love Tainan…
